Purpose
We are on the lookout for a Senior Quality Engineer to become a vital part of our expanding team. This position is essential in guaranteeing the quality and dependability of our products and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to devise innovative solutions for high-precision manufacturing. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will spearhead quality control initiatives, implement continuous improvement processes, and help uphold the highest standards in production to meet customer and industry benchmarks.
The Role
- Process Improvement and Defect Reduction
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency and minimizing defects by scrutinizing quality and production data to pinpoint trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Establish robust process controls and standardize inspection protocols to boost consistency, prevent recurring quality issues, and enhance first-pass yield.
- Inspection Effectiveness and Quality Controls
- Refine inspection methodologies by utilizing advanced tools and techniques, including CMM programming, to strike a balance between precision and efficiency.
- Set and uphold inspection criteria and acceptance standards in accordance with customer expectations and industry best practices.
- Ensure that inspection methods fulfill capability requirements through studies such as Gage R&R and Cpk analyses.
- Customer Engagement and Quality Deliverables
- Act as the quality liaison for customers, overseeing audits, addressing quality issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of concerns.
- Prepare and deliver essential quality documentation, including PPAP, FAIR, and other customer-specific deliverables, while facilitating customer satisfaction.
