POSITION SUMMARY: We are actively searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead environmental investigation and remediation initiatives. You will oversee projects from preliminary assessments to the successful remediation of contaminated sites. This role involves supervising a diverse team of project engineers, geologists, scientists, field technicians, site superintendents, and craft labor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
- Supervise and mentor project engineers, scientists, site supervisors, and craft laborers.
- Oversee and execute subcontracts, including those for teaming partners, laboratories, drilling, and abatement/demolition contractors.
- Delegate tasks and assignments effectively based on team members' expertise and project timelines.
- Review and analyze technical reports related to site assessments, inspections, and remediation efforts.
- Coordinate and supervise investigation activities alongside remedial actions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, and asbestos abatement.
- Provide forecasts and estimates related to project completion based on current costs and remaining tasks.
- Update and manage burn schedules for field activities in collaboration with the site superintendent.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, regulators, and KEMRON.
- Utilize Microsoft Project 2000 software to track project progress and costs.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring budget control and timely invoicing for clients.
- Prepare detailed work plans and proposals for additional assessments or remediation work.
- Maintain a risk register to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Supervise subcontractor performance and resolve disputes as needed.
- Coordinate field activities of subcontractors and field staff, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Engage in regular communication with QA/QC staff through conference calls.
