The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is dedicated to enhancing the functionality of city government for all New Yorkers. DCAS’s Division of Energy Management (DEM) spearheads the City’s strategies to diminish carbon emissions from government operations. Our ambitious goals include achieving a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2025 (40x25), 50% by 2030 (50x30), and 80% by 2050 (80x50). DEM is also responsible for fulfilling the City’s energy commitments, including a pledge to install 100 megawatts of solar photovoltaics on City buildings by 2025. The division aims to meet these objectives by managing utility accounts, formulating the City’s annual utility energy budget, assisting agency partners in identifying energy-saving opportunities, leading energy efficiency projects across the City’s portfolio, and implementing best practices in operations and maintenance.
The Senior Program Manager will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
1. **Program Development:** Enhance and expand the innovative City-wide Building Optimization Program, concentrating on the optimization of mechanical and control systems. This role will involve identifying and applying advanced preventative maintenance strategies for City buildings and employing innovative software solutions to enhance building automation based on logged data, historical energy analytics, and various metrics.
