About the job
Assala Gabon is a forward-thinking Oil and Gas Exploration and Production entity dedicated to the sustainable management of its resources. We encourage collaboration, embrace diversity, and uphold safety and integrity across all our operations.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role involves engaging in multi-disciplinary studies focused on field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, identifying redevelopment opportunities, and implementing effective forecasting strategies.
This Technical Authority will oversee all Petroleum Engineering aspects, including Nodal Analysis (and activation), Transient Analysis (PBU, FOT), production forecasting, and comprehensive well reviews, leading to workovers, stimulations, and surface recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality of all deliverables produced by the petroleum engineering team prior to external publication or execution.
- Establish reporting standards and procedures to ensure effective and pragmatic Petroleum Engineering work (WOP, stimulation jobs, measurement analysis, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Data Management team to ensure all dynamic well data, reports, models, and presentations are systematically organized and maintained on servers.
- Work closely with Reservoir Engineers to prepare test programs, oversee their execution, interpret data, and validate reservoir models.
- Partner with Geology & Geophysics (G&G), Reservoir Engineers, and Operations to formulate an annual campaign for static and dynamic well measurements, including writing programs and interpreting results.
- Utilize traditional petroleum engineering techniques such as Material Balance (IPR curves), Nodal Analysis (VLP curves), and Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) to support dynamic models and generate timely production forecasts.
- Identify potential candidates for interventions and workovers (stimulation, sand control, reperforation, etc.) in collaboration with G&G and Reservoir Engineers, contributing to the development of the subsidiary portfolio.
- Define a comprehensive production and injection strategy, analyze daily production data, and provide recommendations for optimizing production and reservoir management.
- Compile and synthesize data from fields and wells to develop and enhance candidates for interventions and workovers for the subsidiary portfolio.
