About the Role
The Senior Mobile Apps Product Manager holds a pivotal role within our organization, overseeing the complete customer journey within our mobile application: our most strategic and rapidly expanding channel.
In a market where over 95% of our customers engage exclusively via mobile, you will be tasked with shaping, optimizing, and scaling the mobile native experience tailored for the African market, navigating challenges such as device fragmentation, bandwidth constraints, operating system diversity, and varied payment ecosystems.
This position transcends mere feature delivery; you will define and advocate for the mobile vision, unlock native functionalities, and guarantee that our Android and iOS applications provide a best-in-class, high-performance, and locally relevant experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the mobile app vision and strategy for the African market.
- Optimize the customer lifecycle within the app (acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, monetization) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and align the product roadmap with company objectives.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities to enhance performance, engagement, and differentiation through an experimental approach.
- Lead and collaborate with a talented Android and iOS engineering team.
- Work closely with Design, Data, Marketing, Payments, CRM, and other product squads.
- Balance speed, technical quality, and scalability.
- Ensure effective release management and app store optimization practices.
