1. Ensure the effective management and maintenance of Central applications crucial for the operations of the Microinformatics Unit:
i. Management application utilized for monitoring desktops and servers, configuration distribution, software updates, inventory management, reporting, and support;
ii. Antivirus solutions;
iii. Printer management and print reporting;
iv. Information replication;
v. Service monitoring;
vi. Installation of patches and vulnerability corrections.
2. Facilitate remote management and maintenance of distributed system applications (desktops and servers), including peripherals (printing, scanning devices, etc.):
i. Automate the creation and updating of images for desktops and servers;
ii. Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and obsolescence of desktops, servers, and peripherals, providing reports for decision-making;
iii. Install, configure, and update application packages;
iv. Ensure data quality for management-level decision-making;
3. Provide operational support in response to incidents, requests, and problems:
i. Ensure ticket registration for relevant incidents, requests, problems, and changes in the application;
ii. Ensure categorization, prioritization, and resolution of tickets in compliance with established procedures and within SLAs;
iii. Identify the needs and limitations of the service desk unit, designing and delivering solutions to enhance the unit's performance.
4. Action Measures:
i. Stay updated with best practices and technological solutions in the industry;
ii. Identify opportunities, implement methodologies for continuous service, system, and process improvements, document, facilitate knowledge transfer, and monitor implemented improvements.
