The Senior Manager of Global Communications will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy for our Global Business Services (GBS) division. This dynamic role involves crafting, directing, and implementing cohesive messaging and communication initiatives that effectively engage our internal GBS stakeholders and AECOM audiences—including employees, customers, and partners—across all digital and in-person channels.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding, promoting, and enhancing AECOM’s brand and reputation. You will support the organization in achieving outstanding results by aligning narratives with key business objectives, showcasing how GBS drives growth, operational excellence, and measurable value, while enriching the experiences of AECOM’s employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop and lead the global communication strategy for GBS, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and desired business outcomes.
- Translate complex business objectives into clear, compelling messaging that fosters organizational alignment and drives impactful business results.
- Ensure all communication strategies are inclusive, transparent, and measurable, holding accountability for communication plans and their execution.
Internal Communications:
- Drive the creation and delivery of engaging, consistent, and clear communications across GBS globally to enhance awareness, alignment, and adoption of programs, policies, and cultural initiatives.
- Maintain clarity and consistency in messaging across all internal channels to strengthen understanding and engagement.
- Create tailored content for senior leaders, ensuring their unique voice and tone are captured while maintaining consistent messaging across GBS.
Customer Communications:
- Collaborate closely with GBS leadership to develop transparent communications for internal customers that align with our vision of operational excellence and measurable value.
- Establish stakeholder feedback mechanisms, ensuring that customer feedback is addressed by the appropriate GBS leaders, and consistently closing the feedback loop.
Leadership & Change Communications:
- Work with GBS leadership to deliver compelling executive messaging, strategic updates, leadership announcements, and impactful town hall communications.
- Craft engaging executive messages and strategic town halls that elevate the visibility and authenticity of GBS leaders through personalized communication strategies.
