About the Role
The Senior Manager of Core Operations (CoreOps) will lead our operations in LATAM, overseeing the performance and resilience of our key areas: Payments, Non-Payments, and Enablement.
This leadership position is pivotal in ensuring that critical operational processes are executed reliably and efficiently at scale. Responsibilities encompass the complete transaction lifecycle, non-transactional products that enhance our core payment offerings, and the onboarding and risk processes that foster sustainable growth.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on setting direction, defining clear accountability, and empowering teams to excel while ensuring operational stability and supporting the company's long-term growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional CoreOps team focused on Payments, Non-Payments, and Enablement.
- Guarantee the stability and resilience of acquiring operations, managing settlement, payouts, and reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and predictable payout execution with minimal manual intervention.
- Oversee the operational performance of non-transactional products such as the SumUp Business Account, subscriptions, and electronic invoicing (DTE), ensuring they meet defined quality standards.
- Streamline onboarding, activation, and risk processes while adhering to evolving regulatory requirements.
- Establish clear accountability, KPIs, and ownership within the team to foster autonomy and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure operational costs, settlements, and reconciliations are accurately reflected in financial reporting.
- Work closely with Support, Customer Success, Acquisition, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams to align operational execution with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to regional strategies.
