Your Role:
As the Senior Manager of Backend Engineering, you will lead critical teams responsible for the foundational systems that enhance the WeightWatchers member experience. Your goal is to build, scale, and mentor high-performing engineering teams to deliver a member platform that is simple, fast, secure, and scalable.
You will oversee the health, growth, and delivery of multiple backend squads, collaborating closely with Infrastructure, Product, Data, and Design to transform technical strategies into reliable realities for millions of members worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Leadership: Recruit, manage, and mentor a diverse team of backend engineers, from entry-level to Principal level.
- Culture of Excellence: Promote an engineering culture that emphasizes operational readiness, thorough documentation, incident learning, and continuous improvement.
