The Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Overstory, you will spearhead the development and scaling of our Wildfire Fuel Detection Model. This fundamental engine enhances our understanding of vegetation structure, fuel loads, and wildfire risks using satellite and environmental data. Your expertise in cutting-edge ML techniques, extensive geospatial data, and real-world application will help shape the future of Overstory’s modeling capabilities.
Collaboration will be key as you work alongside data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to ensure our wildfire models are precise, resilient, and production-ready, blending scientific integrity with engineering excellence. In your role as a senior technical leader, you will mentor fellow engineers, guide architectural decisions, and establish standards for modeling, experimentation, and deployment across Overstory.
Time Zone Requirement: Eastern North America (NST, AST, EST)
