Travel: Frequent – Must be prepared to travel on short notice (within 24 hours)
Compensation: USD $200K + Bonus Comprehensive salary package with all travel expenses reimbursed.
We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Government Affairs & Policy Advisor to act as the primary strategic liaison and communicator between our European clients and stakeholders across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
This pivotal role demands a unique combination of advanced project management skills, geopolitical acumen, and exceptional operational flexibility. You will be entrusted with navigating intricate government-related business terrains and ensuring the efficient implementation of international initiatives.
Important Note: This is not an entry-level position. All qualifications outlined below are mandatory.
Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill all of the following criteria:
Essential Requirements
- Fluent in Arabic and English (professional proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading)
- At least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager
- Demonstrated professional experience in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and/or Saudi Arabia
- In-depth understanding of Middle East geopolitics and regional sensitivities
- Proven track record in managing government-related or adjacent business in the Gulf region
- Outstanding writing, research, and briefing skills
- Adept at managing high-level communications between European stakeholders and Gulf counterparts
- Willingness to travel internationally with 24 hours’ notice
- Exemplary discretion, professionalism, and cultural awareness

- Proficiency in additional languages beyond Arabic and English.
- Established connections within Gulf state regulatory or governmental bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct strategic projects between European clients and Gulf stakeholders
- Oversee cross-border communications and stakeholder alignment
- Draft high-level briefing papers, research documents, and strategic reports
- Navigate governmental processes and institutional protocols within the Gulf region
- Ensure timely delivery of projects that align with geopolitical realities
- Represent the organization in senior-level meetings as necessary
