About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our Core Costs & Capex team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This pivotal role focuses on the precise accounting, reconciliation, and oversight of fixed assets and core costs at ASOS, ensuring compliance with IFRS and our internal accounting policies. You will play a vital role in delivering timely and accurate monthly actuals, maintaining the fixed asset register, preparing and optimizing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing valuable financial insights to stakeholders across the organization while supporting key finance initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of Capex reporting, including the Fixed Asset Register, translating detailed financial entries into high-level insights for senior management.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS standards for all Capex activities, proactively reviewing and guiding current treatments.
- Support the interim and year-end audit process, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and meets required standards.
- Drive continuous improvements in the Fixed Asset Register, accounting policies, and related processes, collaborating with Finance Tech colleagues as necessary.
- Prepare, review, and enhance robust month-end balance sheet reconciliations related to Capex.
- Document and regularly update financial controls, processes, and risks associated with Capex.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and broader financial accounting responsibilities to provide business insights and ensure objectives are met, adapting to changing business needs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce inefficiencies and enhance month-end processes.
