Join AECOM’s Water Business Line as a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer in Burnaby, British Columbia, and play a crucial role in the design and delivery of essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Lower Mainland. You will collaborate with a team of multidisciplinary experts, leveraging your technical skills in electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls to create innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers-in-training and designers.
- Delivering electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering for municipal infrastructure projects across Western Canada, including Metro Vancouver.
- Developing control narratives, philosophies, and contract specifications.
- Designing and specifying process instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater treatment and industrial applications.
- Supporting the development and review of P&IDs, SCADA systems, telecommunications, CCTV, and security networks.
- Collaborating with project managers, process engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Preparing construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
- Assisting in project management, contract administration, and field reviews during construction.
- Contributing to project budgets, schedules, and technical planning.
- Ensuring all deliverables align with AECOM’s QA/QC standards and client requirements.
