Fortune Brands Innovations is actively seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Compliance to establish and lead our inaugural enterprise-wide Compliance function. This newly created position will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and enhancing a robust compliance and ethics program that harmonizes with FBIN's operations across its renowned brands in water, outdoor, and security sectors.
Currently, compliance efforts are spread across various departments including Legal, Internal Audit, and business units. The Senior Director of Compliance will consolidate these initiatives and create a cohesive, scalable framework that strengthens FBIN's commitment to integrity, fosters sustainable growth, and ensures adherence to both domestic and international regulatory standards.
This leader will collaborate closely with senior executives, business unit leaders, the Audit Committee, and cross-functional teams to incorporate compliance and risk-based decision-making into the fabric of the organization.
Your Responsibilities:
Enterprise Compliance Program Development:
- Design and develop FBIN’s enterprise compliance strategy and multi-year roadmap tailored for a consumer-focused, multi-brand manufacturing and distribution environment.
- Establish and operationalize a compliance governance model that aligns roles and accountability across Legal, Internal Audit, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, and business units.
- Create an FBIN-specific compliance framework that adheres to DOJ guidelines and leading standards (COSO, ISO 37301).
- Develop enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and controls, including the FBIN Code of Conduct and related compliance standards.
Compliance Risk Assessment, Monitoring, and Reporting:
- Lead the development of FBIN’s compliance risk assessment processes globally, focusing on areas such as anti-corruption, product compliance, trade compliance, environmental and safety regulations, and third-party risk.
- Design monitoring, testing, and assurance processes to assess compliance effectiveness.
- Create reporting mechanisms for executives and the Board that include KPIs, incident trends, and maturity dashboards.
Policies, Training, Communications & Culture:
- Craft and maintain clear, actionable compliance policies that resonate with FBIN’s diverse workforce and operational base.
- Develop an enterprise training strategy addressing both general compliance obligations and targeted regulatory topics pertinent to FBIN’s business (e.g., anti-bribery, product safety, privacy, third-party management).
- Promote communications that reinforce FBIN’s dedication to integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
Incident Management & Investigations:
- Oversee the implementation and management of FBIN’s incident management and investigation protocols.
