ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Design Specialist supporting Fluor in the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This full-time position is located in Greenville, SC.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) applications.
Utilize drafting software to create detailed drawings with minimal supervision.
Engage in 3D modeling, with a preference for S3D experience.
Interpret and produce design drawings independently, requiring little input from engineering staff.
Conduct site assessments with minimal guidance, interpret field directives, generate design details, and oversee junior drafters.
Develop project estimates, schedules, staffing needs, progress reports, and scope of services.
Qualifications
Education & Experience – Associate's Degree in a relevant field with at least 10 years of related experience, or an A.S. degree with 15+ years for Principal Designer roles.
Citizenship – U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of federal work.
Clearance – Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance as necessary.
Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local codes and standards pertinent to specialized engineering design, particularly in nuclear fields.
Experience in drafting and design across various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, or civil.
Preferred Skills
Experience in 3D modeling is essential; S3D experience is highly preferred.
