We seek a Senior Compliance Manager to play a vital role in enhancing the compliance framework that supports and strengthens our Insurance business. This senior position is central to the Insurance team, ensuring that compliance fosters commercial success and bolsters customer trust. Our Compliance team is dedicated to furthering the growth of the Insurance business, supporting commercial ambitions while keeping customer welfare at the forefront of all decisions. We believe that effective compliance is a facilitator rather than a hindrance, building trust with our customers, partners, and regulators while promoting bold, customer-centric decisions. You will be part of a collaborative team that values input, welcomes challenges, and prioritizes ethical practices.
This role intersects regulation, commercial decision-making, and customer outcomes. You will ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and operational obligations while empowering teams to make confident and informed decisions. Your pragmatic, solution-oriented guidance will help identify and mitigate conduct and operational risks early, enabling the business to demonstrate positive outcomes for customers. Collaborating closely with commercial, product, and leadership teams, you will advocate for favorable results and practical solutions aligned with Holiday Extras’ broader strategy of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The Role
As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Enabling the Insurance business by balancing commercial goals with regulatory requirements and reputational risk
- Overseeing the risk-based compliance monitoring program and annual compliance plan for HX Cover
- Ensuring robust governance practices are in place, including policies, controls, risk assessments, and clear reporting to the Board
- Leading the fulfillment of FCA obligations, including timely RMA submissions and senior regulatory commentary
- Integrating compliance into strategic initiatives such as new products, partnerships, pricing strategies, customer journeys, and marketing campaigns
- Promoting Consumer Duty principles across the business, constructively challenging practices that may lead to foreseeable customer harm
