The Senior BIW Maintenance Technician will be an integral part of the BIW team, focused on achieving critical operational results. This role requires a solid understanding of mission-critical processes and equipment within the facility, including building utilities, lift assemblies, and conveyors. You will play a key role in developing strategies that align with both team and company objectives. Reporting to various supervisors and managers within the production organization, the Technician should be well-versed in standard automotive OEM process equipment and systems, exhibit strong problem-solving skills, and maintain effective communication while executing daily tasks. You will contribute to daily operations and generate reports to keep the company informed as necessary. The ability to perform under pressure, lead large teams, and demonstrate a sense of urgency is essential. Teamwork and collaboration are crucial components of this position.
- Operate and maintain various process equipment and building utilities across multiple shops.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of PLCs, programming, and advanced troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment.
- Mentor and guide maintenance team members on a daily basis.
- Maintain expertise in utilities and building systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Apply knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, and mechanical theories for effective troubleshooting and problem analysis.
- Understand cranes, hoists, and related systems.
