About the Role
As a Senior Benefits Analyst, you will report directly to the Manager of Global Benefits. This is a six-month contract position, and we are open to applicants from both Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The Benefits Analyst will play a critical role in managing the daily operations of Crunchyroll's North America benefits programs, which encompass the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This hands-on position emphasizes precise benefits processing, compliance support, data integrity, and employee assistance, while also driving continuous improvement in benefits operations.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Facilitate the day-to-day administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs across North America, ensuring accurate processing.
- Act as a primary contact for employee benefits inquiries across the region, resolving routine and moderately complex issues and escalating as necessary.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of benefit plans, policies, and administrative procedures for U.S., Canadian, and Mexican programs.
- Support compliance activities related to benefits programs, including adherence to applicable federal and state regulations in the U.S. (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA), Canadian federal and provincial requirements, and Mexican labor laws, in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
- Administer leave of absence programs, including U.S. FMLA, Paid Family & Medical Leave, Canadian statutory and company-sponsored leaves, and Mexican statutory leave programs.
- Conduct benefits processing activities including enrollments, life events, terminations, COBRA (U.S.), beneficiary updates, as well as disability, accident, and death claims.
- Support the administration of retirement and savings programs, including U.S. 401(k), Canadian retirement plans (e.g., RRSP), and relevant Mexican savings or retirement plans as needed.
- Assist in managing the annual North America open enrollment process, providing system configuration support and data management.
