About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Archer as we design, manufacture, and scale cutting-edge battery modules and packs from initial prototypes to full-scale production.
We are seeking a skilled Senior or Staff Battery Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about hands-on engineering, process optimization, and advanced electric vehicle technology. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of battery manufacturing lines at Archer facilities.
- Define assembly sequences, process workflows, cycle times, facility layouts, and manufacturability solutions.
- Support PFMEA and other risk analysis initiatives to ensure robust, safe, and reliable manufacturing processes.
- Develop equipment specifications and collaborate with suppliers through RFQ, PO, FAT/SAT, installation, and validation to ensure SOP readiness.
- Prepare budgets, project timelines, and financial justifications for management review.
- Create and implement Factory Acceptance Testing plans, overseeing testing through line development and launch.
- Drive process control initiatives, focusing on quality, equipment capability, and overall efficiency.
- Review and address quality notifications, engage in Material Review Boards, and execute corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance MES configurations, shop floor routings, process parameters, and data collection protocols.
- Act as a technical generalist on production lines, providing troubleshooting support during equipment downtime or process deviations.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing product flow, line efficiency, and ergonomics utilizing 5S methodology.
- Establish KPIs, monitor performance trends, and proactively address potential issues.
