About the job
Join Clarion as a Senior Backend Engineer
At Clarion, we are transforming the way healthcare communicates in the era of AI. With the alarming statistic that clinics miss 30–40% of patient calls, we aim to alleviate the burden of administrative tasks on healthcare staff. Our vision is to empower AI agents to manage essential workflows—such as scheduling, billing, prescription refills, and follow-ups—allowing healthcare professionals to prioritize patient care.
We are developing the communication infrastructure that modern healthcare requires. Our AI agents not only answer calls but also execute workflows from start to finish, ensuring that patients receive the attention they deserve. To date, we have successfully managed hundreds of thousands of patient interactions with virtual care companies, health systems, and a $5 billion health insurance provider.
Founded by a physician trained at Stanford and Harvard, along with a former Amazon Alexa engineer who led AI and machine learning teams at Salesforce, Clarion has secured $5.4 million in funding from prestigious investors including Accel, Y Combinator, and Sequoia. Our in-person team is based in New York City, and we are rapidly working to address one of healthcare's most pressing challenges.
