About the Role:
As a Senior Animator at Pixomondo, you will work closely with our production team to craft outstanding animations that bring creatures, characters, objects, and vehicles to life, fully realizing the project's vision as outlined by the project manager and/or supervisor.
Your Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with the production team to deliver animated sequences that align with client expectations and project specifications as detailed by the project manager and/or supervisor.
- Animating in various styles (creatures, realistic humans, motion capture, vehicles, complex characters, objects, cameras, etc.) according to the needs of the assigned projects.
- Performing sufficient Mocap cleanup and 3D rotation for special effects.
- Demonstrating proficiency in animation software (Maya) for visually intensive projects.
- Undertaking additional tasks as required by the animation and CG supervisor from time to time.
We Are Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in VFX and animation for film and television.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional animation principles for hard surface and character animation.
- Strong expertise in rigging/animation setup and 3D character animation.
- Extensive familiarity with Maya.
- A solid understanding of scene layout to match plates.
- Excellent artistic skills with a comprehensive understanding of animation and a keen sense of composition.
- Knowledge of software and hardware used in the post-production process.
- Demonstrated understanding of visual effects and related pipelines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to lead a creative vision.
- A portfolio that showcases your ability to define characters, create fluid and organic movement, and tell compelling stories.
- Willingness to work overtime/weekends when project demands require it.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
- You must reside in Montreal and have the right to work in Canada. We cannot provide work visas or relocation assistance for this position.
