Senior Accountant
Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your responsibilities will include timely posting of accounting entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations using SAP. You will oversee financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards, manage audit processes, and ensure compliance with MyData and AADE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of financial and tax audit processes, liaising with external and governmental auditors while providing necessary documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from statutory and tax auditors, ensuring prompt resolution of audit-related issues.
- Prepare accurate and timely IFRS financial statements, including footnotes and supplementary disclosures.
- Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports and packages.
- Assist in the implementation of financial systems and processes.
- Ensure timely posting of accounting entries using SAP, maintaining relevant supporting documentation.
- Monitor MyData requirements, executing necessary actions through accounting software and AADE.
- Prepare and submit all tax declarations punctually (including Corporate Income Tax, VAT/VIES, withheld taxes, and Transfer Pricing lists).
- Regularly monitor tax liabilities ensuring timely payments and compliance.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and contribute to all accounting activities as required.
- Manage fixed asset procedures including purchase postings, depreciation checks, and reconciliations of the Fixed Assets Register to the General Ledger.
- Handle cash transaction procedures, scheduling payments, and reconciling cash to the General Ledger.
- Perform reconciliations with customers and suppliers regularly, ensuring all files align with the General Ledger.
