As a Senior Accountant (All Genders), you will play a crucial role within our accounting team. You will take ownership of vital accounting functions, ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting while leveraging your expertise to continuously improve processes.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Comprehensive Responsibility for Accounts Receivable and Payable: Independently manage and record all accounts receivable and payable transactions, including invoices, revenue recognition, provisions, and accruals in compliance with HGB standards.
Efficient Receivables and Payment Management: Oversee accounts receivable management, including dunning processes, monitoring incoming payments, bank transactions, and ensuring timely payment processing in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Account Reconciliation and Transparency: Independently reconcile and monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure accurate and transparent bookkeeping.
Year-End Closing & Auditing: Actively participate in the preparation of annual financial statements and assist in the auditing process for the accounting areas you manage.
Reporting & Business Insights: Generate insightful business reports and analyses, serving as a point of contact for stakeholders regarding accounting-related inquiries.
Process Optimization and Automation: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in our accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of both accounts receivable and payable.
Tools: Proficiency in accounting software, ideally DATEV, along with advanced Excel skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. German language skills are a plus.
