OVERVIEW:
Join a leading firm as a Senior Account Manager specializing in Commercial Insurance. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Managing Director, Jim, in a trusted broking capacity. This hands-on position encompasses the entire policy lifecycle for our commercial clientele. You will interpret client instructions, structure risks effectively, liaise with insurers, and manage placements from initiation to renewal. Autonomy and precision are key, as you will be expected to manage processes independently, delivering exceptional results without constant oversight.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client & Risk Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients and new inquiries.
- Translate client communications into actionable plans.
- Identify exposures and design tailored insurance solutions across:
- Professional Indemnity
- Management Liability
- Commercial Property and related lines
- Market Engagement & Placement:
- Engage with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms.
- Complete and submit underwriting proposals and related documentation.
- Analyze and compare quotes including terms, limits, deductibles, and endorsements.
- Prepare concise recommendation summaries for review and approval.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Draft professional correspondence, proposals, and recommendation reports.
- Negotiate with insurers regarding subjectivities and endorsements.
- Maintain meticulous records within broking and CRM systems.
- Policy Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the management of new business, renewals, endorsements, and adjustments.
- Ensure policy documentation is accurate and timely.
- Utilize structured checklists for manual and digital processes.
- Schedule and manage follow-ups to ensure all tasks are completed.
- Claims Support:
- Assist clients with claims by coordinating with insurers and gathering necessary information.
- Risk Oversight:
- Proactively detect gaps and opportunities within client portfolios.
- Escalate potential risks or concerns for timely resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial broking or underwriting, preferably in the Australian market.
- Strong expertise in:
- Professional Indemnity
- Management Liability
- Commercial Property
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end placements, from inquiry to renewal.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; capable of providing clear and professional advisory.
