Whether you prefer day shifts or night shifts, a fast-paced environment, or a more tranquil setting, Securitas has the job for you.
Working as a security officer is ideal for those who enjoy engaging with people and assisting them in their daily lives. As a security officer at our Gotland office, you will become part of a close-knit team. Shift lengths vary, but they often consist of 12-hour shifts, either during the day or at night, including weekends.
As a patrolling security officer, you will be responsible for monitoring multiple clients during your shift. You will travel between client locations by car and conduct various checks, including area surveillance, inside facility rounds, alarm activations, and client closures. In this role, documenting your work and any discrepancies you encounter is crucial. The job is independent, often perceived as flexible, yet carries significant responsibility. The role of a patrolling security officer is perfect for those who enjoy being active. Most shifts will be during the night.
As a stationary security officer, you will provide on-site security for one of our clients. Depending on the client, your tasks may differ. You might work as a receptionist at a large company or perform security checks, rounds, alarm management, and camera surveillance. Regardless of the client, your primary responsibility is to remain vigilant and ensure everything is in order. You will work independently and be responsible for your tasks, typically during both day and night hours.
Two of your potential security colleagues, Therese and Samir, have shared their insights:
Therese - "Being a stationary security officer means constant variety and independent work. You must be resourceful, solution-oriented, and confident in yourself. Freedom under responsibility is combined with interactions with diverse individuals."
Samir - "Being a patrolling officer is diverse. At night, I visit several clients while the city sleeps, and I appreciate the calm that settles once I ensure everything is secure - it instills a unique sense of responsibility and freedom. Each client and location has its own rhythm and routines, making the job stimulating, unpredictable, and always interesting."
