Overview:
Join act1federal as a Security Cooperation Officer (SCO) where you will play a vital role in supporting the Mobility Support Advisory Squadron (MSAS) mission planning initiatives. Collaborate closely with various Air Force Agencies, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), and Security Cooperation Offices to oversee all facets of MSAS missions, which include long-term strategy, execution, and post-mission evaluations in alignment with relevant regulations and fiscal requirements. Your expertise will also be instrumental in generating essential documentation within the Security Cooperation framework.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and coordinate MSAS mission planning by engaging effectively with Security Cooperation stakeholders, including the Department of State, COCOMs, and Air Components, ensuring adherence to mission timelines and documentation standards.
- Represent MSAS in training or synchronization meetings with external clients as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership on special projects such as annual reports and senior leader engagements.
- Post-mission, work with team leads and stakeholders to produce After Action Reports and analyze lessons learned to assess mission outcomes and coordinate debriefs.
- Comply with foreign disclosure protocols to ensure accurate guidance during interactions with partner nations.
- Support the development of MSAS air advisors by delivering security cooperation lessons at periodic squadron courses.
- Willingness to travel to COCOM or MSAS-planned meetings up to five times a year.
