Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Physical Therapist to provide specialized services to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This role is essential for facilitating student progress across multiple school locations, primarily centered in Doylestown and extending into surrounding communities.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Physical Therapy and possess an active Physical Therapist license along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Your expertise will have a profound impact on students with varying needs, particularly those with moderate to severe challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored physical therapy services in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs) for students requiring moderate to severe support.
- Collaborate with educators and related service personnel to enhance student goals in both center-based and itinerant settings.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation while adhering to Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) credentialing and program standards.
- Engage in orientation and preparatory activities prior to the commencement of ESY instruction sessions.
- Adapt therapy delivery to suit diverse classroom environments across assigned locations.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Pennsylvania PT licensure in compliance with PDE requirements.
- Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with the structure of ESY programs.
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school settings within Bucks County.
- Access to reliable transportation and residence within a 35-minute commute of the assigned location.
- Availability to work Mondays through Thursdays, from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM, or as scheduled based on site and service needs.
- Comfort and proficiency in working with students exhibiting moderate to severe special education requirements.
- Commitment to the complete ESY schedule from June 29 to July 30, 2026.
Position Details:
- Contractual role with flexible hours ranging between 12-24 per week depending on location.
- Services are delivered during ESY sessions, with orientation and setup dates varying.
- Opportunities available throughout Lower, Central, and Upper Bucks County, including itinerant placements in group homes.
