About the Categories and Expansion Team
The Categories and Expansion team at Whatnot is pivotal in enhancing our category offerings and fostering the growth of sellers and buyers on our platform. Our sales team is dedicated to identifying, launching, and scaling high-potential sellers.
Role Overview
As an Inside Account Executive, you will be instrumental in expanding Whatnot’s supply by acquiring and nurturing new livestream sellers. You will manage your own portfolio and oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial pitches and onboarding to strategic coaching and growth facilitation. Your primary objective will be to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets through effective pipeline management. Key responsibilities include:
Gaining a comprehensive understanding of our end-to-end sales process and collaborating with the team to onboard high-potential sellers.
Establishing yourself as the go-to expert on how small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), particularly those with an online presence, can scale their operations with Whatnot.
Sourcing and prospecting for sellers, facilitating initial discovery and onboarding calls.
Leading sales conversations with prospective sellers, primarily via video and phone calls, addressing objections, and effectively closing sales.
