Why This Position?
Cohere Labs serves as the research division of Cohere. We aim to address foundational inquiries in artificial intelligence by gathering experts from various disciplines to investigate how AI technologies are constructed and their transformative effects on economies, labor markets, and institutions.
As artificial intelligence rapidly integrates into our economy, the demand for rigorous, theory-driven, and empirically-based research into its impact on productivity, inequality, skills development, organizational design, and the future of work is paramount. This role is designed specifically to facilitate this critical research.
The Research Fellow position is a full-time, one-year opportunity tailored for advanced PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, or early-career scholars in economics, political economy, public policy, or related social sciences. This role offers an opportunity to engage deeply with state-of-the-art AI systems while maintaining academic independence and pursuing publication-oriented research.
