About the Role
We are looking for a Valuation Analyst who possesses a professional, customer-service-oriented mindset and a strong team spirit. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication abilities are necessary, along with efficient management of multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze real estate collateral tied to loan applications to estimate market value using comparable data from sources like Zillow, Redfin, CoStar, and LoopNet.
- Research local U.S. real estate markets, focusing on sales trends, rent patterns, vacancy rates, cap rates, and neighborhood characteristics.
- Utilize various valuation methodologies, including sales comparison, income, and cost approaches, as applicable.
- Maintain well-organized valuation work files and supporting documentation.
- Generate exhibits, tables, and charts for valuation reports.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as data entry, email drafting, and updating internal systems and reports.
- Review third-party appraisal reports for consistency with market data.
- Communicate findings professionally to internal stakeholders.
- Support special projects and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Fluency in English, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in banking, real estate, underwriting, valuation, or real estate appraisal.
- Proficient in valuation techniques and tools.
