Role Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous Tax Preparer (CPA) to assist in various tax compliance activities at federal, state, and local levels. This role focuses on delivering accurate tax returns, managing IRS-related issues, and ensuring organized documentation. You will operate independently within stipulated processes and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all tax filings.
- Provide assistance in tax planning by identifying potential deductions, credits, and compliance risks.
- Research tax laws as necessary to support tax return preparation.
- Assist with IRS resolution matters, including responding to notices and maintaining documentation.
- Organize and maintain detailed workpapers and tax records.
- Utilize Lacerte for tax preparation and Canopy for workflow and documentation management.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding any missing information or tax-related issues.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and filing requirements.
