Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is on the lookout for a skilled mid to senior-level Employment Litigation Attorney to join our alternative-track contract attorney program, DWTSurge. This role primarily focuses on single plaintiff litigation and PAGA/class action litigation matters. We prefer candidates who are based in California and are admitted to practice there, and who can accommodate West Coast business hours.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Employment Services practice group with California employment litigation cases. Successful applicants will have demonstrated expertise in managing all phases of litigation and a strong background in California employment law.
As a contract attorney, you will draft motions and manage discovery while collaborating effectively with client teams, opposing parties, and other stakeholders to support our large institutional clients. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases with competing deadlines are essential. We value independence and good judgment, balanced with the ability to work collaboratively with fellow attorneys and support staff to achieve specific litigation goals under tight timelines.
This flexible, fully remote position is expected to offer between 20-40 hours of work per week, with hours fluctuating based on workload. We anticipate the role to commence as soon as possible and conclude in late February or early March 2026, with potential for contract renewal for successful candidates.
