About the Position
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to oversee and uphold precise financial records for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in bookkeeping practices, comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks, and the aptitude to deliver insightful financial analyses and forecasts.
Core Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and various financial statements.
- Financial Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate and current records of all financial transactions.
- Expense Management: Correctly categorize and tag expenses, income, and other transactions.
- QuickBooks Utilization: Employ QuickBooks for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and organizational tasks.
- Forecasting: Develop and produce financial forecasts and budget reports to aid in strategic business decisions.
- Financial Audits: Review and refine existing financial records; ensure compliance and accuracy through regular internal audits.
- Reporting: Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for managerial review.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficient in QuickBooks (preferably QuickBooks Online).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with account reconciliations, financial coding, and tagging.
- Capability to prepare forecasts and offer valuable financial insights.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication abilities and capacity to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning up and auditing financial records.
- Familiarity with financial compliance and tax preparation processes.
- Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
