The Regulatory Affairs Analyst specializing in Policy and Intelligence (RPI) plays a pivotal role in supporting the US RPI function by engaging in thorough research on regulatory intelligence queries across assigned domains and geographic regions. Key responsibilities include analyzing pertinent regulatory approval databases, and preparing comprehensive regulatory intelligence summaries for both verbal and written communication.

Additionally, this position entails office management duties for the Rockville, MD location, where the analyst will assist with various general office responsibilities. This includes managing rental and service agreements, overseeing office maintenance and equipment, coordinating with real estate partners, ensuring safety and security in the suite and building, providing parking support, facilitating IT upgrades, and organizing logistics for office visitors, including handling after-hours deliveries as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze regulatory intelligence for designated regions and topics, collaborating with RPI policy leads to provide contextual assessments.
- Identify and interpret regulatory trends relevant to AbbVie, delivering insights that inform strategic decision-making, utilizing Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Conduct in-depth research to resolve regulatory policy inquiries from business stakeholders.
- Develop supporting materials for regulatory policy discussions, including impactful presentations and summaries via PowerPoint.
- Assist with regulatory policy and intelligence initiatives as required, such as documenting FDA virtual meetings.
- Co-manage and edit regulatory policy newsletters and general communications in collaboration with RPI analysts across EU and Intercon regions.
- Support RPI staff by organizing regular meetings, crafting agendas, preparing relevant materials, and drafting meeting summaries. Collaborate with other functions to align goals and projects.
- Co-manage global departmental databases and SharePoint sites, ensuring accurate content management and leveraging data to provide actionable recommendations to senior RPI staff, in partnership with analysts in EU and Intercon.
Office Management Duties:
- Facilities: Maintain office and kitchen supplies; research, order, set up, and clean up catering services; manage equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
- Expenses: Prepare necessary financial reports for RPI Directors and the Senior Director.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the landlord and AbbVie Real Estate for suite-related projects, including security, financial matters, and more.
