- As a key player, this role is responsible for performing various types of radiographs using diverse equipment and serves as the primary interface with patients to fulfill their imaging requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently utilizes markers during procedures.
- Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of various examinations.
- Produces high-quality films consistently.
- Effectively understands and operates CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation.
- Documents complete patient histories for radiologists.
- Utilizes PACS with minimal errors.
- Exhibits overall efficiency and time management in work, including constructive use of downtime for tasks such as stocking rooms and assisting with patient transport.
- Assesses patient discomfort that may interfere with imaging procedures and communicates with physicians for intervention.
- Demonstrates knowledge of accessing Pyxis and the medications available for various procedures, understanding the verification process by physicians upon receipt.
- Practices medical and surgical aseptic techniques, including effective hand hygiene.
- Effectively multitasks across various areas.
- Timely acknowledgment and completion of exams.
