The Quality Engineer (QE) is instrumental in enhancing client projects by providing exceptional quality management, assurance, and control services.
Its primary objective is to furnish clear evidence that both the client and supply chain are adhering to all contracted quality requirements across designated programmes and projects.
The secondary objective is to bolster broader programme quality frameworks—ensuring adherence to programme-wide standards, establishing project-specific requirements effectively, and implementing quality across all activities seamlessly.
This role collaborates closely with project teams and the supply chain to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of quality results.

- Serve as an integrated member of the programme/project team, aiding in the application of project-specific quality activities as directed by the client’s line manager to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Uphold well-defined quality protocols that promote safe, efficient, and “right-first-time” delivery.
- Consistently maintain Project Quality Plans and MIT Plans in a controlled manner.
- Perform surveillance and inspection activities across client sites and subcontractor facilities.
- Capture, analyze, and report on quality metrics to support clear, unambiguous management reporting.
- Oversee the non-conformance process, ensuring timely resolution, identification of preventative measures, and maximization of project-wide learning.
- Conduct cross-project and workstream audits as necessary.
Principal Accountabilities
The Quality Engineer is accountable to the Client for:
- Executing daily quality management tasks in alignment with directives from the Client’s Quality Director, personal objectives, or task orders.
- Reviewing quality documentation to support oversight and assure that outputs meet specified criteria.
- Assisting in the evaluation and acceptance of Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans from the supply chain.
- Helping the Client establish effective manufacturing and site surveillance programmes aligned with identified risks.
- Ensuring that appropriate controls are established for managing Quality Records and “End of Reports” from subcontractors.
- Facilitating the closure of non-conformances, including root cause analysis and implementing preventative actions across the project.
- Supporting Client and subcontractor Quality Auditors to ensure prompt resolution of audit findings within the MDT and supply chain.
- Actively participating in programme and project risk reviews, opportunity assessments, and lessons-learned activities.
- Engaging in investigations pertaining to quality issues.
