Job Summary: As a Quality Control Inspector at Senior plc, you will be responsible for meticulously examining a variety of machine components, including assemblies, sub-assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet the highest standards of material quality, machining dimensions, and functional usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspection layouts and first article inspections on machined parts, forgings, stampings, and sheet metal components to establish conformance to specifications.
- Perform inspections on all types of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and installations.
- Document all inspection results and complete acceptance test procedures accurately.
- Reinspect reworked items to confirm they meet the required standards.
- Execute progressive and final inspections of components that require precise measurements and angles, utilizing precision measuring instruments when inspection jigs or fixtures are unavailable.
- Stamp or approve acceptable parts and manage all necessary paperwork.
- Initiate rejection processes and oversee rework orders.
- Generate rejection tags and inspection rework sheets, ensuring accurate data entry aligned with quality control protocols.
- Notify supervisors of all rejected items promptly.
- Set up and operate precision measuring instruments, gauges, and general inspection equipment.
- Assist and mentor less experienced personnel in quality control processes.
- Conduct re-inspections and other duties as necessary.
- Adhere to all Senior plc policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
