Quality Assurance Engineer:
As a vital member of our Information Technology team, the Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our production systems. This involves thorough testing of code changes and validating customer requirements. The QA Engineer operates independently within a designated Scrum team, actively engaging in Scrum ceremonies and collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
In this role, you will advocate for QA standards and best practices, develop detailed test cases for user stories, and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. You will execute tests throughout the development lifecycle and provide regular updates on test execution status and quality metrics to management, ensuring transparency regarding progress and potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft, publish, and implement detailed test plans for complex commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, including Salesforce and SAP, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to validate all software releases, guaranteeing high standards of quality and reliability.
- Analyze functional requirements and design documentation to develop comprehensive test plans that effectively cover specified use cases and edge cases.
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure that software functionality meets both technical specifications and end-user requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python to enhance testing efficiency.
- Generate and maintain QA documentation, including test cases and results, to provide full visibility into all testing processes.
