Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to manage our CILA home in Bolingbrook, IL. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring adherence to client care standards, and fostering an environment that promotes the growth and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate DSP performance against established criteria, providing constructive feedback to promote worker development and ensure objectives are met.
- Develop and interpret work procedures, prioritizing tasks to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
- Facilitate communication between DSPs and training staff to maintain coordinated service delivery.
- Review tracking sheets and progress notes to ensure compliance with case records and program standards.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to enhance service delivery and team coordination.
- Train new DSPs and provide ongoing in-services for existing staff, adhering to advocacy group policies.
- Participate in meetings for information sharing and problem-solving, contributing to effective communication and program planning.
- Design and adapt client-specific intervention plans, modifying as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Monitor and write incident reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping for service planning.
- Encourage positive behavior and social interactions to promote client independence.
- Exchange information with colleagues and diagnostic staff to maintain comprehensive client records.
- Set client objectives and evaluate performance to guide program planning.
