Role Overview
The QA Test Coordinator plays a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing testing activities throughout the technology delivery lifecycle. This position emphasizes Technical Testing (Unit, CIT, System) and System Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring that all stakeholders receive the necessary support to validate solutions. The Test Coordinator will align testing activities with the integrated program plan while effectively managing and reporting risks, dependencies, and progress.
Scope and Responsibilities
The Test Coordinator will function within technology teams and across the Quality capability of the program, providing structure, visibility, and control over testing activities. This role is focused on enabling technology testing, ensuring that both upstream and downstream testing outcomes are well understood, and confirming that solutions are fit for purpose prior to release.
- Testing Scope and Readiness
Comprehends the overall testing scope, environments, roles, timelines, and entry and exit criteria to ensure all test phases are realistically planned and aligned with the integrated program plan. - SIT Preparation Inputs
Ensures that business-focused test scenarios, test data, access, and supporting materials are in place, enabling tech teams to execute SIT confidently and efficiently. - Upstream Testing Outcomes
Interprets results from Unit, System, and Integration testing to confirm SIT readiness, identifying residual risks and preventing unresolved technical issues from impacting SIT. - SIT Coordination and Execution
Plans and coordinates SIT activities, supports integration testers, tracks execution progress, and ensures that issues and blockers are managed promptly. - Results, Risks, and Sign-off
Consolidates SIT outcomes, defects, and risks to facilitate informed technology sign-off and E2E/UAT readiness decisions.
