Job Summary
We are in search of a warm-hearted and dedicated Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become part of our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive care for patients suffering from various respiratory conditions, such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough physical assessments and medical evaluations for patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Diagnose and manage prevalent respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Devise and execute tailored treatment plans for patients based on their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle considerations.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, including inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
- Educate patients and their families on effective disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
