Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy:
- Work collaboratively with governmental bodies and both public and private organizations to devise effective procurement strategies.
- Evaluate existing procurement processes and propose enhancements that drive efficiency and transparency.
- Formulate and execute public procurement strategies that correspond with the overarching organizational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and assess procurement needs to identify potential suppliers.
- Select and implement suitable procurement methods and processes.
- Oversee procurement timelines and budgets to guarantee efficient and effective procurement activities.
- Procurement Policy Development and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in public procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Guide clients through compliance requirements and assist them in navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Collaborate with the legal department ensuring compliance with current and forthcoming legal stipulations.
- Public Procurement Tenders:
- Understand various tendering procedures applicable in the public sector.
- Assist clients in composing thorough requests for public tenders in line with procurement regulations.
- Draft detailed requirement lists for public tenders.
- Create evaluation, selection, and awarding criteria specific to proposals.
- Assess and choose suppliers based on predefined selection criteria.
- Evaluate and award contracts to suppliers based on scoring of awarding criteria.
- Review vendor submissions and provide recommendations for selection.
- Establish KPIs and SLAs to facilitate effective contract management.
- Vendor Relations:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any arising issues or disputes.
- Training and Capacity Building:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for client staff to bolster their procurement knowledge and skills, elevating the organization’s procurement maturity.
