As the Owner’s Engineer specializing in protection, control, and metering, you will serve as a dedicated advocate for clients, guiding them through all phases of project development, execution, and completion. You will provide critical support in the protection and control dimensions of various engineering design packages.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of electrical protection and control systems throughout the project lifecycle. A key responsibility includes the meticulous review and evaluation of engineering documentation from detailed engineering firms, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee that protection and control systems are designed and implemented according to client specifications, codes, interconnection agreements, and engineering best practices.
- Lead coordination efforts related to protection and control from the tender process to project execution up to contract closure.
- Provide consistent, high-quality, cost-effective engineering advice to stakeholders and assigned projects.
- Oversee project aspects to ensure equipment is supplied and installed according to required quality and engineering standards.
- Manage the interface between program stakeholders and client engineering disciplines regarding protection, control, SCADA, and communication.
- Represent the project team in technical and project meetings.
- Monitor design modification proposals for protection and control, preparing reports to assess their suitability for the project.
- Review non-conformities and evaluate proposed corrective actions.
