Qualifications
Essential Responsibilities:Calculate construction staking by interpreting CAD files and reading plans.Create mapping deliverables such as boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.Post-process field data collected using Total Station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and unmanned aerial systems.Develop 3D models of sites and structures for architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.Travel to various job sites and offices as required.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.A minimum of 3 years of office surveying experience is required.Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred, or LSIT is required; candidates must be able to test within six months of hiring.Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Autodesk Civil 3D.Experience in construction staking, including reading plans, performing construction calculations, and preparing cut sheets, is preferred.Familiarity with processing laser scanning data, including registration and 3D modeling, is advantageous but not mandatory.Willingness to assist with special projects as needed.Flexible hours may be required.Travel between BKF offices and off-site locations may be necessary.Physical Demands: Ability to communicate effectively, operate a computer, and occasionally lift, pull, push, or carry up to 20 pounds with reasonable accommodations.

As a Project Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with senior project surveyors and project managers on diverse assignments, including 3D laser scanning, construction staking, GIS, BIM, boundary, and topographic surveys.
