Turner & Townsend is seeking a dedicated Project Planner to enhance our Project Controls team. You will play a pivotal role in the execution of high-profile construction projects across the UK and Europe, offering critical performance reporting and analytical support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing deviations from project baselines using lead and lag indicators, recommending corrective actions to maximize client value.
- Leading evaluations of project timelines, costs, and quality targets while applying necessary governance controls to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborating with a remote team of cost managers to establish a market-tested cost baseline, ensuring the client receives optimal value.
- Guiding general contractors to ensure adherence to project schedules and cash flow parameters.
- Serving as the principal contact for clients, addressing delivery and commercial issues, and preparing both formal and ad hoc reports focusing on time, cost, and quality metrics.
- Managing costs through your understanding of conceptual estimating, funding stages, contingency principles, and procurement practices.
- Creating and maintaining cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
- Leading change management processes, providing a framework for tracking, monitoring, and approving changes.
- Facilitating planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to develop the master project schedule, agree on baselines, and outline the critical path.
- Coordinating procurement efforts by collating lead times from vendors into the master schedule to prioritize material and equipment orders.
- Engaging with clients to define vendor scheduling requirements.
- Participating in project team risk evaluations, incorporating risks into Monte Carlo simulations to assess impacts on overall project costs and timelines.
- Working closely with the project team to communicate project changes, ensuring all modifications are processed through the change management workflow.
- Holding vendors accountable for timely updates and reporting to maintain an accurate master schedule that meets quality standards.
