As a Project Manager for Train Security Systems at Dura Vermeer Railinfra, you will oversee large-scale rail infrastructure projects that enhance the safety and sustainability of train operations across the Netherlands. Your responsibilities will include managing projects like the expansion of rail and station facilities in Tilburg, the modernization of the rail yard in Amersfoort, and the complete overhaul of Nijmegen station. Your goal is to contribute to the sustainable development of the country, exemplified by initiatives such as the renovation of Amsterdam Central Station. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring the construction of a robust, secure, and future-ready railway network. Together, you will be accountable for the entire technical execution process at our impressive project sites.
Your Responsibilities
Train security encompasses all regulatory and technical measures essential for ensuring the operational safety of train traffic. The aim is to prevent derailments, collisions, and accidents. Various systems are employed to accurately track train locations and ensure proper alignment of switches, signals, and level crossings. This makes it a complex and fascinating field with numerous intersections with other disciplines. Delivering high-quality work is paramount. You understand that safety in train operations is the top priority, and you diligently ensure compliance with technical installation protocols. You will follow established guidelines, adhere to commitments, and monitor project progress closely, intervening when necessary. You will also be responsible for the development and progress of the team members under your supervision. As a Project Manager for Train Security Systems at Dura Vermeer Railinfra, your tasks will include:
Overseeing the entire process from the installation to the execution of electrical train security systems.
Organizing daily project operations in collaboration with project leaders and preparers.
Monitoring the technical progress and quality of the work performed.
Delivering projects on time according to specifications and quality standards, within budget.
Leading, coaching, and evaluating your team members, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensuring compliance with contract and specification agreements.
Being responsible for safety measures on projects.
Advising and keeping all stakeholders informed within a project.
