The DCAS Division of Energy Management (DEM) serves as the central hub for emissions reduction and energy management within the City government. Our responsibilities include creating the annual utility energy budget, managing utility accounts, assisting agency partners in identifying energy-saving opportunities, leading city-wide energy efficiency and distributed generation projects, and implementing best practices in operations and maintenance.
DEM is committed to leading the City’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from government operations by 40% by 2025, 50% by 2030, and 80% by 2050. In addition, we aim to install 100 MW of solar photovoltaic on City buildings by 2025. We collaborate closely with agency partners to enhance their facilities' energy management and emission reduction efforts.
The Project Manager will oversee program data collection and tracking to facilitate precise, on-demand project reporting. This will include assessing and verifying project costs, scope, schedule, and savings in energy and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as tracking project completion and progression towards the City's objectives. Furthermore, the Project Manager will assist with financial project management responsibilities, including invoice processing and project tracking.
