Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in one of Sweden's most extensive industrial projects? As a Project Engineer specializing in Economic Management, you will be an integral part of the commercial department, focusing on the financial structure, monitoring, and business management of the project—both internally and with our subcontractors.
This position is ideal for those who wish to blend project understanding with business analysis and contract management in a complex and dynamic environment.
The project is located in Luleå, necessitating 40-50% onsite presence.
About the Role of Project Engineer in Economic Management
In this role, you will contribute to the project's economic governance through continuous monitoring, forecasting, and analysis. Your work will encompass cost control, contract administration, and change management, ensuring that financial commitments are handled systematically and professionally.
A key aspect of your role will involve addressing economic and contractual matters related to subcontractors and suppliers, including contract follow-ups, change management, and ensuring accurate financial administration in accordance with contractual terms.
You will help identify risks and opportunities from a business perspective, acting as a crucial link between finance, contracts, procurement, and project execution.
This position is within the commercial department, where project engineers, bid engineers, procurement, and BIM/VDC collaborate to secure the overall business aspects of the project.
Your Profile as Project Engineer in Economic Management
We are looking for candidates with experience in construction or industrial projects, specifically in economic monitoring within a project environment.
You should possess a solid understanding of how estimation, production, procurement, and contracts interrelate, and be confident in analyzing economic relationships within large project organizations.
We expect you to have:
- Post-secondary education, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience in economic management, forecasting, and cost control
- Knowledge of contract law and administration
- Proficiency in relevant software systems
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Experience with larger and more complex projects, as well as subcontractor agreements and change management, is a plus.
