The Project Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting IT Project Managers by assisting in the planning, tracking, reporting, and governance of various projects. This position emphasizes the importance of data integrity, financial oversight, documentation management, and performance analysis to ensure projects adhere to their defined scope, timelines, and budgets.
Please note that this role does not involve delivery ownership; rather, it focuses on control, coordination, and providing valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Planning Support
- Assist in defining project scope, milestones, and deliverable documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive project plans, RAID logs, and action trackers.
- Support the creation of baselines and schedule updates.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with established governance standards.
Financial & Commercial Tracking
- Monitor budget utilization and forecast variances.
- Validate vendor invoices against approved Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Assist in cost-benefit analysis and business case reporting.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards and Steering Committee packs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as milestone adherence, defect leakage, and sprint predictability.
- Monitor project dependencies and escalate risks to the Project Manager.
Risk & Compliance Support
- Maintain updates to the risk register.
- Ensure traceability tracking from requirements through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support the preparation of audit documentation and compliance reporting.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Engage with IT, business, and vendor teams to gather status updates.
- Ensure that all updates are documented prior to governance meetings.
- Assist in taking meeting minutes and tracking action items.
