About the Position
We are looking for a seasoned facilities management professional to support our expanding global real estate portfolio. This dynamic role will involve balancing large-scale collaborative projects with focused initiatives on facilities standards and safeguards. Reporting to the AMERs Workplace Leader within the Workplace Operations organization, you will collaborate closely with various REW pillars and cross-functional partners, including Design & Construction, Leasing, Global Food Programs, Corporate Security, IT, and external vendors.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA, requiring onsite presence 5 days a week. Relocation assistance is available for new hires.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish, align, and uphold technical facilities standards globally, ensuring that OpenAI's buildings are designed, operated, and maintained for safety, reliability, scalability, and consistency while adhering to local regulations.
Curate and manage a robust vendor network for facilities operations, including the selection, onboarding, and partnership with specialized service providers to enhance maintenance, emergency response, and overall operational excellence.
Act as the primary liaison for senior leadership during critical or crisis situations, delivering swift technical evaluations, clear communications, and strategic recommendations to stabilize operations and mitigate business impact.
Provide expert guidance to construction project managers and architects regarding MEP systems during design and construction phases, ensuring that building systems are operationally sustainable and aligned with long-term facilities standards.
Enhance facilities data and analytics through technical rigor and standardization, ensuring that business intelligence is leveraged effectively.
